    Reaffirmation of Existing Standard

    Under ANSI rules every 5 years an approved standard must be reaffirmed, revised, or withdrawn. There have been no requests for revision for the following standards in question, hence it is recommended that it be put forth for reaffirmation.

    ANSI/VITA 42.0-2021 -  XMC: Switched Mezzanine Card (XMC) Auxiliary Standard 

    Abstract: This document defines an open standard for supporting high-speed, switched interconnect protocols on an existing, widely deployed mezzanine card form factor. This revision (2021) adds updated signal integrity data for PCIe capabilities as well as revised connector drawings.

    How to Apply for the Consensus Body

    Abstract: This standard defines a rugged standardized 10 Gbaud interconnect system with high pin count and high density for I/O. It is capable of supporting multiple protocols and power while being interoperable with both Copper Cabling and Active Optic Cabling.

It is intended to foster high-throughput and adaptable processing in a large-scale environment. It specifically considers the needs of devices based around 32-/64-bit general-purpose processors (GPP) and FPGAs that utilize Internet Protocol (IP) as the underlying transport between processing devices.

    Stabilized Maintenance of ANSI/VITA 49.0-2015 (R2021) -VITA Radio Transport (VRT) Standard

    Abstract:This document describes an open standard for an optional encapsulation protocol for VITA-49.0 (VRT) packets.

    DRAFT/VITA 46.32 -VPX Connector Supporting Data Rates to 53 Gb/s

    Abstract: VITA 46.32 defines a standard for a VPX connector that supports data rates to 53 Gb/s, higher than VITA 46.30 and VITA 46.31, for protocols such as 200GBASE-KR4 Ethernet and PCIe Gen 5. VITA 46.32 connectors are intermateable with legacy VITA 46.X backplane connectors and follow the same form factor.

    Abstract:This document is the base standard for an Enhanced Small Form Factor System that meets the growing needs of improved Size, Weight and Power (SWaP) with a rugged, low cost, fast serial fabric interconnect based Plug-In Module. The VITA 90.x family of standards builds on the foundation established by VITA 74 VNX. VNX+ significantly increases performance and system versatility beyond VITA 74, while following its mechanical framework.

    How to Apply for the Consensus Body

    Currently, this consensus body needs voting members from the following interest categories in order to be able to proceed with this process. The consensus body will be vetted to ensure it meets balance, lack of dominance and openness rules. Following which a formal ballot will be sent to the consensus body for voting.

    • Producer: An appropriate participant designs, develops, or manufactures products using this standard.
    • User-Industrial/Commercial: An appropriate participant is using this standard in an industrial or commercial application
    • User-Government/Military: An appropriate participant is a representative of a government agency using this standard in a government or military application.
    • Research: An appropriate participant is involved in research or consulting that may use this standard.
    • General Interest: An appropriate participant is an interested party not necessarily involved in producing, directly using, or acquiring product using this standard.

    Please note that company membership in VITA is NOT a requirement to join this consensus body. This registration is open to both VITA members and non-members. You must register via this form if you wish to participate in the upcoming ballot. VITA Members can sign up for free (while logged into their account) while non-members must pay a nominal fee to participate. This solicitation will be open for 14 days. The roster will be vetted to ensure it meets balance, lack of dominance and openness rules. Following which a formal ballot will be sent to the roster for voting.

    In the case that you believe this standard needs a revision, please indicate so in the comments field of the registration form and be prepared to sponsor and actively participate in the revision effort. If you are selected for the consensus body, you may provide minor editorial comments during the balloting.

    Please register ONLY IF you intend to vote. The ballot will be voided if we do not get enough returned votes.
